Summary
AirTran Airways was founded in 1993, but initially was operated under the name “ValuJet”. Airtran is based out of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, and also opened up a second hub at the Milwaukee General Mitchell International airport. AirTran Airways operates the largest fleet of 717 aircrafts, which are no longer in production. Customers flying on AirTran can experience XM Satellite radio at no additional cost, as well as in-flight Wifi. While AirTran is a low-cost carrier, they do have Business Class on each flight which are located in the first three rows on each aircraft. AirTran has aircrafts painted with the Atlanta Falcons, Baltimore Ravens, Indianapolis Colts, Orlando Magic, and Milwaukee Brewers logs on their aircrafts. They also have a Little Debbie custom designed aircraft for the 50th anniversary of the Little Debbie trademark.
